On Tuesday 1st October 2024 Taylors of Harrogate was presented with the King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade.

The esteemed business accolade was presented by the Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, Mrs Johanna Ropner, in recognition of the work of the Taylors International team in delivering impressive growth in overseas markets and for its commitment to fostering long-term relationships with international partners and distributors.

The ceremony was attended by colleagues from across the Group, including Taylors International team, Family Shareholders, members of the Group Board and Collaborative CEO.

On presenting the Award, Mrs Ropner praised the incredible growth of International and shared how proud she was to see a Yorkshire business flying the flag for the country in overseas markets.

Mike Burrett, International Director at Taylors, said: “We are honoured to have been presented with this prestigious award. Since 2017, we have rapidly expanded the number of markets that our brands are present in, while nurturing both existing and new distribution relationships as a foundation for future success, and ensuring we have a product range that meets the needs of consumers in each market. We’d like to thank everyone involved from across our business, and our international partners, for their dedication and hard work, which has resulted in this wonderful achievement.”

Formerly The Queen’s Award for Enterprise, the Award has been renamed following the Accession of King Charles III. The King’s Awards for Enterprise celebrate outstanding achievement by UK businesses and are internationally recognised. The winners are selected under strict judging criteria, against significant competition. The Awards are made each year by the King, on the advice of the Prime Minister and his panel of judges and are valid for five years.
