We recently welcomed businesses to Bettys York for the first Workplace Wellbeing Networking Event. This is a new opportunity to connect, share experiences and learn from one another.
The event grew out of relationships formed through the HR in Excellence Awards and was designed to create space away from business as usual to focus on wellbeing in the workplace. Across the morning, guests took part in facilitated table discussions exploring themes including neurodiversity, mental health and psychological safety, healthy working practices, physical health and engagement.
Opening the event, Andy Atha from Latus Group highlighted the importance of collaboration, noting that the network is about learning from one another and using shared insight to support people and organisations to thrive. The discussions provided an opportunity for honest conversation, practical idea-sharing and a deeper understanding of both challenges and successes across different workplaces.
Clare Nixon, our Wellbeing Schemes Manager at Bettys & Taylors, said:
It’s been fantastic to get interesting and innovative businesses together to share what’s working, understand the challenges we face, and using those connections and learnings to help our people and businesses perform at their best.

Feedback from the event will help shape how the network grows and evolves, with the ambition to continue creating meaningful connections and learning opportunities in the future.
