The award was presented to the brand in recognition of the role Yorkshire Tea has played in flying the flag for Yorkshire across the globe in growing export sales. The International Team attended the gala awards dinner in Leeds on Friday 1st March to formally collect the award.

The win follows a King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade which Taylors of Harrogate was awarded last year.

Established in 1980, the Yorkshire Society is a volunteer-run organisation founded with the mission of promoting and celebrating all things Yorkshire. Their annual awards aim to recognise people and organisations that have demonstrated a commitment to the region and had an impact on Yorkshire and its people.

Categories include the Lifetime Achievement award, Business of the Year, Young Person of the Year and Community Hero. Other award winners this year include actor Timothy West, Gabby Logan and Channel 5.
